Shared-ownership Lake Houses are the perfect choice for families who want to spend six weeks each year at Boot Ranch in a large, elegantly appointed home that’s fully maintained, inside and out. Just arrive and enjoy. Shares are currently priced at $950,000 and up. A $20,000 refundable deposit will secure your reservation.

Five Lake Houses are planned along the shore of Longhorn Lake, a favorite destination for outdoor family fun since the first Longhorn Landing amenities opened in 2017 for fishing, swimming, and non-motorized watercraft. The new $30 million Longhorn Landing expansion will include a resort-worthy lakeside pool deck featuring two pools, a waterslide and more. Indoors, enjoy multi-sport simulators, indoor basketball, and a new bowling alley, plus casual dining at Bootjacks waterfront restaurant, all easily accessible by foot or shuttle cart.

Shared Ownership FAQs

Each Lake House owner has a one-eighth deeded interest in the property and has exclusive usage of the entire property during six scheduled reservation periods each year. The eight owners also divide the operating cost of each Lake House.
Every fall, Lake House owners select their desired reservation periods in a sequence determined by a lottery. An online portal enables owners to track reservations for their home and trade reservation periods with other owners.

Upon approval and payment of the Club Membership Initiation Fee, the Boot Ranch Club Membership provides you, your parents, grandparents, children, adult children, grandchildren, and all spouses to full membership privileges, including golf, while in residence.

All Lake Houses are fully furnished and fully maintained. An annual association fee covers all the property management services provided by Boot Ranch, plus reserve fund contributions to help ensure that furnishings and fixtures can be replaced as needed. Plus, property management services run through the Lake House owners’ association, so you don’t need to worry about housekeeping, landscape care, home maintenance, taxes, insurance, or utility bills.
