Boot Ranch symbolizes tradition, family and the very best of the Hill Country. These very same characteristics describe Martin Martinez and his long and storied connection to Boot Ranch.
Thirty-three years ago, Martin and his father moved from Mexico to the Hill Country and began working on a private ranch that eventually became part of Boot Ranch. They learned to care for cattle, horses and mountain grasses, and have worked the land ever since. To say Martin and his family love this land is an understatement.
“This place is my home. When I think about this place once being a working ranch and where it is today, and to be a part of this change, it does something to me. I am proud to be a part of this special place.” Martin Martinez.
As a Boot Ranch irrigation technician, Martin welcomed the challenge of learning how to maintain bunkers and fairways on an award-winning golf course. “I get paid to do what I love to do,” states Martin.
