The first summer at Longhorn Lake was a tremendous success! Following the grand opening over Memorial Day weekend, Longhorn Lake became the place to be for members of all ages all summer long.
Our youngest members can’t seem to get enough of the two massive treehouses connected by a swinging rope bridge, with fire poles and slides as exits. The two jumping platforms, at 5 feet and 12 feet, proved equally alluring to grandparents and four-year-olds.
Others dropped a line in the lake and relaxed as kayaks, canoes and stand-up paddleboards carried members across this little slice of Hill Country heaven.
Longhorn Lake was also the setting for many Club events and outdoor activities like our Summer Kid’s Adventure Camp, where our campers spent their afternoons playing games such as capture-the-flag, volleyball, paddle boarding, fishing, and canoeing, not to mention plenty of swimming!
Take a look back at all of the fun at Longhorn Lake this summer.
