On Friday, September 28th our primary Golf Members took to the newly renovated course to experience the numerous improvements to our Hal Sutton designed course, including new TifEagle Bermuda greens and bright white bunkers. Undeterred by the rain, members reported that the renovation efforts have significantly improved the enjoyment, playability and overall golf experience at Boot Ranch—thrusting an award-winning course to new heights.
The changes to the course are both subtle and striking. The new greens look great and putt true, and the sand traps really show off the beauty of the course. Matt Bieri, Member
Putting Park and Event Lawn
Following the inaugural round on the newly renovated course, members made their way to Metzger Park, our newest neighborhood release. Metzger Park is home to our highly anticipated Putting Park, which opened to rave reviews. At 35,000-square-feet, the Chet Williams designed Putting Park is the largest of its kind in Texas.
Along with a Putting Park, a multi-purpose Event Lawn, complete with outdoor lighting, will add to the already stellar list of amenities available at Boot Ranch. The Event Lawn will serve as the setting for large events as well as double as a park and playfield for everyday use.
An Evening with Hal Sutton
To commemorate the course reopening a celebratory evening of dinner and cocktails with course designer, Hal Sutton, took place at the clubhouse. As Boot Ranch Developer Mark Enderle says, “People make the party,” and our members made this an evening that will not soon be forgotten.
On behalf of everyone at Boot Ranch, we would like to extend our deepest thanks to Boot Ranch Golf Course Superintendent, Deven Baughn, Project Manager Augustine Sanchez, and the team at Heritage Links for all of the hard work they all put into completing this renovation.
