When the Ranch Club closes for the season in late November, construction is slated to begin on the new Fitness Center. The 3,500 square-foot building is planned as an extension of the Ranch Club pavilion and will include a wide range of workout equipment, a movement studio, restrooms and offices.
Swaback and Partners, the nation’s premier designer of private club amenities, was tasked with architecture and land planning. “As we considered various locations for the Fitness Center, it was clear that it belonged at the Ranch Club, already the center of active recreation at Boot Ranch,” said Swaback principal John Sather. “By extending and enclosing the east end of the pavilion, we’re able to create a light-filled structure with ample space for all the activities that members have requested.”
The consultant team also includes interior designer Donna Figg and WTS International, a leader in fitness center design and management. The movement studio will include a video wall for fitness on demand, mirrors, barres, bikes for spin classes, and a great environment for yoga, step and Pilates classes. The workout room is planned to include premium equipment by Excite+, Skillrun, Technogym and Peloton, plus free weights and props for stretching. Members will have extended hours electronic access to the Fitness Center year round.
The construction project includes additional parking for cars and golf carts to the east of the Ranch Club. Construction is expected to be complete by mid-summer 2019.
