The bunker renovation project at the Boot Ranch golf course is in full swing, under the watchful eye of course designer and PGA legend Hal Sutton. Eleven years after the course opened, it’s time to remove and replace all the sand and liners—an effort that began in April and will be complete by early September.
In Boot Ranch style, we’re turning a big maintenance effort into a golden opportunity to tweak the course for improved playability. Hal is on site weekly, directing the work by Heritage Links to reshape, resize, and in some cases remove existing bunkers. His hands-on involvement and attention to detail will result in making one of the best courses in Texas even more fun to play.
