The Fourth of July is a huge holiday, especially here in Fredericksburg. With so many events happening in town, we took it upon ourselves to point out a few events that you don’t want to miss this weekend!

Come out on Friday, July 1st for a day of fine art with the monthly First Friday Art Walk. Then afterward, go to either a production of Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast”, with shows running all weekend long or go see the Liverpool Legends, a Beatles tribute band, with shows on Friday and Saturday night.

On Saturday, come out to the Gillespie County Fairgrounds for a day of horse racing followed by an evening at Pedernales Cellars for their “Wine ‘til Nine” event, where they stay open late and offer musical entertainment under the stars. Spend Sunday afternoon at Lost Draw Cellars for their Red, White, and Blues event that features live music, a gourmet hot dog bar, popcorn, apple pie, and of course their award-winning wines.

Monday, July 4th is when the celebration really kicks off with the Children’s parade and the Main Street parade in the morning, then the Chili cook-off at Becker Vineyards, an open Tap Room at the Pedernales Brewing Company, and finally ending the night with the City of Fredericksburg fireworks display at Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park.

There is a ton to do this weekend in Fredericksburg, so get out and enjoy Independence Day weekend, Texas Hill Country style! For more information on all of these events plus more, visit http://www.visitfredericksburgtx.com/july4/
